There's probably no better example of this than in 2 Samuel, chapter 7.

Read the chapter and experience these exhilarating verses! Full of hopeful energy and excitement! Just thinking about God's plans -- for His Kingdom and for us! In the maybe-not-so-distant future as we eagerly await God's plans to secure our future...for His glory and for our good!

Look at what He tells David (verses 4-16): "David, you will not build a house for Me, but I want to build a house for you! And it will endure forever!"

Many years later an Angel repeated this promise to a young girl, a virgin, named Mary, comforting her. "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father, David, and He will reign over Jacob's descendants forever. His Kingdom will never end" (Luke 1:30-33).

The special gift of prophecy: beginning now but not completed yet! Now but not yet!

We can see more in the Revelation God gave us in His eternal Word, "I Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David" (Revelation 22:16).

PROMISES MADE...PROMISES BEING KEPT! How blessed we are to experience it!
